Last Monday, 1D and 1C went on an interesting excursion to the School House Museum.  First we had recess.  Next, we touched old toys.  Later, we saw a scary teacher.  Finally, we went to the bus.  We climbed onboard.  Then we went back to CPS to have lunch.  I had a fun day!

Last Monday, 1D and 1C went on an excursion so we could learn more about times long ago.  First we waited for the bus to come, While we were waiting we were calling out the roll.  Next, we arrived.  We sat on a mat.  We sat and ate recess.  Soon we were taken by a lady.  She took us to an old classroom.  We got to play with some wooden toys.  Later we were taken to another classroom.  We got to do ink writing.  We also got to write on a slate board with a rock pencil.

On Monday 2nd March 1B and 1V went to the School House Museum.  We learnt about how the cane was used in the olden days, how to write with ink and a pen and we learnt how to do the times tables.  We looked at the old toys.  There was a top, string, and Jacks and outside we dressed up and then we did as maypole dance.  We had lots of fun.

... We went marching around to the olden room.  We exercised with dumb-bells and recited our times tables.  We learnt how to write with ink and a pen.  We did some puzzles and we used a jelly pad.  We saw the paper bag with lunch orders.

... my favourite part was the pen and ink.  We used the pen with the paper.  After my recess I ran to the tree and I ran back and I had such super fun!

Emily 1B

... we learnt the maypole dance.  We dressed up with aprons and the boys had a collar.  My favourite part was the maypole dance.
