HISTORY

While Cherrybrook Public School was open for students in 1971, it was officially opened by the Minister for Education, The Hon. Mr E.A. Willis, in October, 1972.  The highest class was Year 4 taught by the Principal, Mr L. Escot. The entire school comprised the current Year 6 and Kindergarten buildings. Initially there were six teachers on staff.

In 1988-89 additional accommodation was built to cater for the increasing student population and school needs. A new Administration Block, 2 classroom blocks, a library and hall were built.
