OOSH stands for “Out Of School Hours’ Care.

We provide quality Before and After School care & are accredited to a High Quality Standard with the National Childcare Accreditation Council.

Cherrybrook OOSH Care Inc. is a non-profit, Community based centre, managed by a volunteer parent committee.  OOSH is designed to be a fun & caring environment for children of Cherrybrook Public School whose parents work or study.  We provide a safe, caring & stimulating OOSH environment.   We have qualified dedicated staff to ensure the children enjoy their OOSH experience.

History

The timber building, situated at the end of the staff car park, was originally a classroom at Thornleigh Public School. Following negotiations between the P&C and the Dept of Education it was transported to its current site in 1990. To obtain the building the P&C had to meet the cost of removal from its original site.  The building was named by a student fascinated by the building being lifted into place.  Legend has it that the student remarked on the similarity to Dorothy’s Cottage being swept away in the storm in the “Wizard of Oz”.

What Will My Children Be Doing At OOSH?
