INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

All students, K-6, have a 40 minute lesson in the computer laboratory each week.

All class teachers team-teach with the computer coordinators in the computer laboratory. The school is fully networked and all classes have access to the Internet and intranet from classrooms.

A wide range of software is used to complement, reinforce and extend classroom work.

COMPUTER ROOM

The Computer Room was built in 1994, with funds raised by the parents of the school, to provide an efficient and effective means of whole class instruction in a team teaching situation. All computers are linked to the school network and have internet access.

The main advantages of the computer room are to:

• provide increased hands on experience for students Kinder to Year 6.
• facilitate equitable use of computer facilities
• provide an efficient means of introducing new skills
• provide a training facility for staff, parents and the community
