THE SIX KEY LEARNING AREAS

The guidelines given by the NSW Department of School Education are strictly adhered to by our school. Every effort is taken to present programs in an interesting and motivational manner.  The Department of School Education requires us to teach subjects which are grouped within Six Key Learning Areas (referred to as KLAs).

REPORTING TO PARENTS
At Cherrybrook Public School we report on student progress in the following ways:

INFORMATION NIGHTS
At the beginning of each year parents are invited to an Information Night where all teachers outline programs of work they have planned for the students and inform parents of class, grade and school programs. Any questions parents may have are answered at this time.

INTERVIEWS
Parents are always welcome to arrange interviews with staff members. Appointments can be arranged through the School Office or by contacting the teacher.  Parents are invited to school on a regular basis to view and participate in activities and special events. Information about these activities is disseminated by notes and the newsletter.
